DS 2000

 AUDIO/VISUAL MASTER

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Remove unit from shipping box.  Save shipping box and foam supports to return if warranty repair is required.

  1. Tilt cabinet back and let rest on top edge.

  1. Remove (2) screws from bottom edge of Master frame.

  1. Lift up on frame until frame clears bottom brackets.  Push toward top of cabinet until frame clears top bracket.  Master can now be removed from case.

  1. Stand case back to normal position and bring supplied cables through back opening.  Supplied cables consist of two (2) 25’ long interconnect cables, which have connectors on each end.  One cable is labeled “A” on each end, and the other is labeled “B” on each end.

*******WARNING*******

Be sure system power is in the off position before making any connections.  Failure to follow this proper procedure will result in equipment damage and malfunction, and will void any factory warranty.

  1. Connect cable that is labeled “A” to “A” position on terminal board in 900-203 Control Panel and to “A” position in Master.  Do same with “B” cable.           Be sure cables are matched “A” to “A”, and “B” to “B” and are completely seated; cables will lock in place when seated.

  1. If DS2000 (900-500 only) is to be used as a Visual Annunciator only, insert H4, H7, and H8 jumper headers into the 2 and 3 positions.  If DS2000 is to be used as an Audio/Visual Master insert H4, H7 and H8 jumper headers into the 1 and 2 positions.  The H7 jumper controls operation of lamp/switch positions 61 through 70, and the H8 jumper controls operation of lamp/switch positions 71 through 80 and can be set for visual only operation even when H4 Jumper is set for audio/visual operation.  The H4, H7, and H8 jumper headers are located on back of printed circuit board.

  1. Install Master in case by reversing step 4.  Be sure cables lie straight across cabinet to keep undo stress off P.C.B.

  1. Turn system power on.  Green power LED should be illuminated.

  1.  Activate “call placed” green LED lamp test by simultaneously depressing bottom two buttons

on each switch bank. Activating lamp test while a normal call from a patient room is

      displayed will cancel patient call.
